San Felicín Hostel

They wanted people to book and pay without messaging anyone.

01

Who they are

San Felicín Hostel is a boutique hostel in Cartagena, with private and shared rooms, activities and a rooftop looking onto the San Felipe Castle, with a chef's menu and cocktails. In their own words, they want to break the mold of the typical hostel and welcome people who are different.

02

What we found

They wanted people to be able to book and pay on the website, with no middleman, for both private and shared rooms. Until then, booking meant writing and waiting for an answer, and a traveler on the other side of the world doesn't wait.

The rooftop needed its own space too. The menu changes often and the team had to be able to change it themselves, without depending on anyone.

03

What we made

A website with a payment gateway. The person picks a room, sees the rates and books right there, from their phone. The restaurant menu lives inside the website and they edit it whenever they want. Change a dish or a cocktail and it's published.

Around it, the activities and the Cartagena information someone looks for before deciding on the trip.

  • Homepage, on desktop.
  • The San Felicín Hostel website on a phone, showing the rooms and booking.
On mobile, which is where most people book from.

04

What changed

Since 2023 bookings come in through their own website and the team manages the menu without help. It's the tool they use every day to welcome their guests.
